implied odds in BB
say it's a 5 handed game
UTG raises folded to button who reraises. SB folds you have 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the big blind call 2 bets or fold? I feel like this is a straightforward question that there should be an easy answer to, but I don't know what it is. assume opponents are strong shorthanded players: adaptable but generally aggressive preflop and loose postflop. thanks |

Re: implied odds in BB
If it was one bet you could call - for 2 bets you must fold this. Your hand just doesn't play that well against 2 others with higher cards than your own, let alone if one of them has a pair higher than either of your cards. Your odds aren't that great, you are getting 7-2 immediate odds but you don't close the action and the pot could be capped.
When the flop gives you no draw you will have to check and fold - do yourself a favor and do that preflop. |

Re: implied odds in BB
fold. if the 2nd opponent had just called with a suited connector you can call one bet vs 2 opponents (by the way same with a pair - correct odds). i'd prefer it be slightly higher suited connector, but 87 is ok. however, do not call 2 bets.

Re: implied odds in BB
for 1 bet this call is situation dependant, for 2bets its a fold 99.9% of the time.
