Default 25-50 preflop bluff don\'t mess with catch\'s limp

First hand of the 25-50NL game on UB 4 handed I limp on button for $50 with 68o.

Tune calls in small blind for $25, and then AlixM immediately raises it $300 in BB. This looks very suspicious to me, too much of an over bet of the pot he has $2700 in front of him and both Tune and I have him way covered, i think he thinks I'm weak and he's trying to steal with a big bet that he knows i can't call with my weak hand. So I reraise him pot and throw out $950 making it $600 more to call. He mucks in about 3 seconds. Remember part of the benefits of limping is limp reraising bluff, works a lot in the right spot in NL than in limit, also keep in mind the percentage of his stack you are making him call, as long as he hasn't already pot committed himself generally he would be able to call a few more hands in that spot if he had a lot more chips than he did, he'd already risked 10% of his bankroll and I was asking for about 30% of it preflop, doesn't give him chance to play small pairs.

Best of Luck,

Would you really open limp on the button with a strong hand? I doubt it. I think youre lucky he didnt move all in on you.

Would you really have the balls to steal, put your opponent on a re-steal and put your stack behind that read with a re-re-steal?
On top of that, Shawn has 34% against e.g. AKs one of his suits - his opponent has to factor in that he might well call even if he was bluffing. Not a good spot to move in, IMO.

As I answer every bluff attempt I don't understand : what hand are you trying to represent?

Ive seen many people open limp on the button with AA

If I did that, I might smooth call the bb's raise though.

If the BB was bluffing then youre right, hes going to fold most often.
But if the BB has a real hand, he'll move in move times I know I would). If the BB has AKs as you mentioned hes 2-1 favorite even if the button calls which I assume he probably wont with 86.

The BB could just as easily have a big pair and the button is buried.

Its one thing if he has a read on the BB, but if a tight player is in the BB, the button is in trouble.

If BB moves I have a clear obvious fold, If BB calls I may be able to bluff him or outflop, or may surrender that gets tricky (I agree with u him just callin is somewhat unlikely but he may call over going allin, ususally he would need AA or KK to reraise preflop that hand).

I am representing AA or KK possibly AKss and yes I would limp sometimes with these hands in this position.

To the people that say "what is keller trying to represent?", put yourself in AlixM's position. I guess it looks suspicious the way Keller played it but do you really have the courage to put him all in when he might be close to pot commited? It would take balls of steel to continue a bluff or semi bluff here and move all in.

Keller, what was your plan if ALixM calls? All in on any flop, check/fold? ...
