Default Baffled with 99.

UTG+1 is very loose and very passive. BB is just joning the table. I felt like a total wuss on this hand, but unless I decide this guy is running the stop and go with some small pocket pair, I'm not sure how I can call...

Anyone do differently? I hate hands like this.

BB is acting like he's trying to string UTG+1 along, but I don't know. I think a lot of players would go for a checkraise on the turn with an ace, after you raised the flop. Then again, maybe he's worried about his kicker, versus a PFR, and doesn't want to put too many bets in.

He could just have a 7 or a lower pocket pair though (or even something like 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], though I don't think that's especially likely), and I'd be tempted to call down. Still, aside from the 7 and a few lower pocket pairs, it is hard to see what he'd be betting that you beat (I don't think most 2/4 players stop-n-go with an unimproved flush draw).

Ugh. I agree. Hands like this one are aggravating, especially against an unknown. And, actually, I think the fold is fine.
