UB 5/10 Hand
First nl post, I am pretty new to playing these stakes. Anyways the villian in this hand is agressive and thats all i have on him.
I have AcKc (2100). UTG+1 limps, villian (1600) from MP1 raises to 35, I call, utg+1 calls. Flop is Ah4h5s UTG+1 checks, villian bets 120, I call, UTG+1 folds. Turn 3s Villian checks, I bet 360, he raises to 890, I think a little and push him in... I think I played this very strange, he berated me after for playing so poorly and he said he knew i had AK. For the turn I don't see how he expects me to bet for him after he checks, I cant see how he has a good hand here after he checkraises me. I tried to make a strange pot sized bet on the turn thinking it may make him call me with a worse hand taht i woudl check the river and also i didnt want to give a free card. Anyways thoughts? |

Re: UB 5/10 Hand
IMO this was played very poorly.
Pre-flop: Fine, you have position and a strong hand. Flop: Not great, you should have bumped it up to 450, by just calling, you have no idea where you are at. Turn: This will play much easier if you raise the turn (in fact there might be no turn at all). Edit- I misread the post and changed the turn |

Re: UB 5/10 Hand
Why check behind on the turn? Villain bet the flop like most preflop raisers do, then he checked the turn which almost always means he doesnt really have an ace.
I think the turn bet was fine. I dont see much wrong with hero's play myself. I might or might not raise the flop depending on the player and I might or might not call the check raise all in. With no read at all, Im calling. Ive seen too many people make a move like that with something like QQ trying to fold off something like AJ. Most people dont berate others when they win. Its usually when they get outdrawn and lose a big pot. For him to berate you when he just outdrew you in a monster pot tells me hes an idiot. |

Re: UB 5/10 Hand
I edited my original post. I am not sure what to do with the turn, becuase the hand would've played out differently had he raised it on the flop.

Re: UB 5/10 Hand
I don't play these limits so take my advice with a grain of salt.
But what about reraising with AK/AQ/QQ and the like preflop against an opponent like this who likes to raise preflop with suited connectors and other drawing hands? |

Re: UB 5/10 Hand
If villian knew you had AK, he knew he was behind, and he knew he was going to call if you push. Why didn't he take the initaitive and put you all in and get the increased folding equity, which he needed to make this play work? I don't like villan's play at all.
