Toning down the aggression.
After reigning in my VPIP, I noticed my total aggression factor was ~3, which I believe(?) is too high. So I started looking at pots I won without showdown and I think I was betting a little too often when I wasn't going to be called by worse hands. I've been trying to reverse that trend, but I'm not sure if I've gone too far here.

Re: Toning down the aggression.
But it does seem you missed a value bet somewhere along the end of the hand no?

Re: Toning down the aggression.
With a weak hand that I'm planning on checking the river I prefer to ...
Bet/Fold the turn and check behind on the river. This prevents giving him free cards, gives you an extra way to win the pot and makes it harder for your opponent to make a play at the pot on the river. |
