An Apology

In the recent thread -- Social Security "reform" -- I made a number of rash Assertions, insulting statements, and sarcastic rejoinders that I now regret. I still feel passionately that my position on this issue is defensible, but I went about it in a very abrasive manner, and several of you brought this to my attention.

All I can do now is apologize to those who I offended. I still want to contribute to this dialog, but, hopefully, in the future, in a more positive manner.

This forum can be quite vehement at times but for the most part the posters here appreciate good discussion, which certainly had provided. I certainly hadnt seen an argument from your viewpoint yet so it was quite interesting.

I hope you practice what you preach, you highly offended me when you made the suggestion that I will not be a good teacher. As for Tim, takes a alot of class to make an apology like that.

FWIW you had some good things to say in that thread regarding the issue at hand. Not worth reiterating the other stuff at this point. Your 50,000,000 collecting number is probably low from what I can tell. You framed the issue well though.
