Is there any way I can get away from this? I felt like I had proper odds all the way through... can I fold the river?

With four diamonds on the board, UTG bet and was called by two players ahead of you (twice). I think this is a safe river fold.

Yeah, a bettor and two callers, you won't be good here even 1 in 20.

I would 3-bet the flop as well.

Does a safe river fold exist for just one more bet? I fold the turn after the bet, then call the river and hope for the best.

He has 10 outs on the turn. Folding there would be absolutely terrible, especially given the size of the pot.

But when one person bets and two people call on consecutive streets with a 4-suited board, you can safely assume that somewhere approaching 99.9999999999999% of the time your set is not going to hold up.
