can't find the HH but here it is...
I am UTG+2 with 99 UTG raises, loosish player 3 bets UTG+1, I call, folded to UTG who calls. FLop is KJ9r UTG checks, UTG+1 checks.....hmmm fishy, I bet, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, I 3 bet, he caps, i call. Turn is an off suit 3 he bets, i raise, he 3 bets i call river is a 3 he bets, i rasie he 3 bets, i call comments, thanks dave |

Unless "loosish" was a very conservative description, the river raise is not good.
I would say the chance is close to none that the 3 improved your hand. |

You call 3 cold with 99 here? This is an easy fold for me. I think I like capping better than calling.

i think folding preflop might be best, as your hand wont have many people trailing in behind you for set value.
ist hard to put utg+1 on many hands you beat other then AK KQ? KJ (unlikely). so i'd slow down (probably on the river) stealthcow- |
