Poker Tracker SD question
If your standard deviations on Poker Tracker are listed:
SD/HR $7.28---14.46 SD/100 $8.09---16.1 Does that mean that for any given session that 68% of the time your SD/HR and your SD/100 will lie between the two numbers provided? |

[/ QUOTE ]No. 68% of the time your results will lie between your average winrate + 1 SD and your average winrate - 1 SD. The two different numbers are equivalent, given the number of hands/hour you've played. |

The 7.28 number means What? The 14.46 number means what? [/ QUOTE ] They represent the same thing, using different units. 7.28 is SD in units of $/hr, and 14.46 is SD in units of big bets/hr [see note below]. So if you play limit, you must be playing $.25/$.5. Note: Actually those units are not quite right, but that's the way they are presented in PT. To quote a forum mathematician (pzhon), "Variance has units of square dollars (per hour), not dollars. The square root, standard deviation, has units of dollars (per sqrt(hour))." I wouldn't worry about this unless you're really going to get into the stats. |
