Default Party PPM IV Semi advice....

I won two semi tickets to the PPM IV later this week on party. I have an additional 2200 starting chips I can apply so my question is, would you split and add 1100 each to the tourneys or max out the 2000 and just add 200 to the 2nd tourney?

if playing the NL tourneys, id split them evenly. if playing 1 limit, 1 nl, id put something like 1500 into the limit and 700 into the nl (nl is easier to get back to avg quickly). if both limit, split them evenly.

How, exactly, does one get the extra chips?

When I hit "register," I am not prompted to buy any additional chips with my points or anything.

What gives?

i think you can distribute them by logging into your account www.partypoker.com (under my accounts). if you don't have enough chips for a max or almost a max amount, seems like you should wait on playing the other one.

open the party client, register for one of the semis, then go to where it says News and Events, then Semi-finals Calendar.

you should be able to add chips from there.

no no, thats not how it works at all. Party Player Points and PPM Extra Starting Chips are 100% seperate and have nothing to do with each other. thus, you dont "buy" e.s.c. with player points.

you earn extra starting chips for playing, but the only way to find out how many you have is to log into your account from the website (not the client, the website). once youve done that there should be a link to check your e.s.c. balance.

then, once youve registered for the Semi you will get a pop up asking you to distribute your extra starting chips. you can only get that window to come up AFTER you've registered (it automatically pops up about about 5 seconds after you're registered in the tourney).

Also, once you've registered for at least one Semifinal, go to the tournament lobby in the client and you can click the "Distribute Chips" button at the bottom-right. You can see all of your extra chips and distribute them as you wish.
