Default ho-hum K9 hand

party poker fifteen thirty ten handed
this hand reminded me of a hand GoT posted couple days ago.

button in this hand is 25/8/1.6

3 limpers. i raise CO-1 with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with semitight people behind me. Button 3-bets my lame ass. That's what I get for for raising K9 right?
anyhoo, the blinds fold. first two limpers fold. limper3 calls. 3 of us to the flop for 10.5 small bets.

flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

L3 checks. I check. Button bets. L3 calls. I raise. Button 3-bets. L3 calls. I cap. Button calls. 3 of us to the turn for 11.25 big bets.

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

L3 checks. I check. Button bets. L3 calls. I fold.

I think good fold. Your behind to so many hands that bet out that turn.

Yeah, that card sucks.

I like the flop check/raise. I like the cap as well since you'll get 3-bet by a lot of worse hands here and you have 3-way action.

But that ace sucks.

I think I call the flop and cr the turn. Given that the turn sucked, I'd probably fold.

I want to make sure I understand this. The fold is because even with two pair when the ace hits you're behind almost every hand an 8% pfr will 3 bet with except for possibly JJ or TT. Is this the correct line of thinking? Thanks.

Yes. Plus JJ or TT are unlikely to 3-bet the flop.

Pretty cool. I'm sure most people's reaction was to think, what about the 4-outer... certainly that's what I thought.

But you only have a clean 4-outer against AQ, and every other hand he might have here you're drawing dead.

Maybe I give the players at 15/30 too much credit, but I assume if they are limping "trash" means JTs, KJs, QJs, Axs, 66, etc. As opposed to any 2 cards that a 2/4 player may limp with. I guess I don't see the point in pushing an edge that you maybe don't even have. Plus, I would think the value of this hand comes it's flush value, which is going to want the blinds to come along.

If I am way off, please set me straight.
