Default Caribbean Sun, crypto taking a turn for the worse?

From the Caribbean website:

RECEIVE A $40 MONTHLY BONUS – FREE!

You read that correctly!

An extra $40 in FREE chips will automatically be added to playing balance after you have participated in your 500th raked hand during any calendar month! Please note that only one bonus will be given per account each month, and only one bonus will be given per computer. The bonus will not appear in the cashier statement, but is reflected on your playing balance on any of the tables. You cannot bring bonus money received in any other Peak Entertainment property into the poker room; it must be played in the casino it was received in.

Even if it's really HANDS and not RAKED HANDS the requirement doubled. If it's truly raked, ugh. Is it a trend, or an anomoly amongst the cryptos?

What does it mean by that? Does it mean you wont be able to cash it out only play with it?

I think you cannot even play with it, as I learnt it the hard way last month. I had to redeposit.

I think the crypto craze took a turn for the worse. I have a feeling most if not all are going to go to the 500 raked hands for the bonus. To me its not worth it. It always seems like the cryptos are a pain to clear and at 500 raked hands i think i'll spend those hours at the party tables and make more.

Interpoker (5x rh) and Pokerplex's T/C (300 rh) remain unchanged so far. At Pokerplex I noticed a disturbing thing: If you mouse over the field (50$ Bonus) it shows 25$.

This is indeed troubling. Has it changed at pokerplex too? It said something about putting the bonus money in your poker account and not your ecash accout. What does that mean? Does anyone know if pokerplex's bonus policy changed too?

I still think the bonus on interpoker is worth it but if you have to play 500 raked to clear 40$ on caribbean that is a waste of time.

This might be a way for the smaller Crypto rooms to save some money. Littlewoods Poker had a £5 for every 50 hands up to £25, but cut it a few months ago. I think these changes are more skin specific than a trend for the Crypto rooms. For small rooms the whoring effect can have quite an effect on the profit, and cutting bonuses or making the players play more hands for the bonus is probably a result of some calculation of how to get the biggest profit.

The average Will Hill or Interpoker player probably do not know that Crypto have a lot of sites that gives bonuses. So they play their skin, get the bonus and play their skin also after the bonus is added. I would believe that the percentage of Caribbean players that are aware of the other skins and take advantage of their bonuses is higher than the same type of players at Interpoker. Thus the bonus effect on Caribbean profit have a larger impact than the bonus effect on Will Hill or Interpoker.
