"free" is never really free. For example: the free deck at http://www.4colordecks.com/page/page/1557537.htm
costs $5.95 for shipping. However, if you put 10 free decks in your basket, it still costs $5.95. Anybody try that? Scam the scammer. Wouldn't they have to honor it? |

The site says that you only get one deck for free. Look at the bottom of the page that lists the free deck.

I got a couple of decks, but haven't actually used them in a game or shuffled them yet.

4-color decks aren't good for live games.
The whole "card flashing" thing is bad news when you have 4 seperate colors. 4-color decks are fine for online play though. |

if you're really interested about 4 color decks, I would try
www.avonmoreinc.com you can get two narrow size decks for just $8.00, they are made by Cartamundi (a legit OEM in europe) and IMHO have a more professional finish that the 4colordecks.com cards. also the Avonmore decks are designed by and used by hardcore bridge playing grannies who are legally blind but can still wipe the floor with you with mondo grand slam bonuses. if bill gates plays competitive bridge than you can too. |

based on my limited experiences, i have to disagree. my group loved the 4 color deck. i got mine a few days ago, introduced them to my crew, and haven't had any problems to speak of.
the quality of the cards isn't bad from 4colordecks.com so i'm pretty pleased over all. |

the only problem I had with using a 4 color deck is that your eyes get used to it after a long period of time and when using a regular 2 color deck, it takes longer to see your actual hand. I switched back really fast after that.
