Default 15-30 HAND WHAT IS YOUR PLAY?

The utg, 2nd to act, and 3rd to act all call. So first 3 positions call and you are next to act holding kj off. What is your play call or fold? And what if your hand was k10 off, qj off, or A10 off?

All fold but if I am going to play one of those hands it will be ATo and I will limp.

If the limpers are terrible players I'll limp with QJ, KJ and AT. If they are decent players I fold.

for me this is an easy fold...same with KTo etc...kq i think i call.

the main reason is that people often times limp with AJo so you are likely dominated on the j if thats the case. further, if its raised behind you, your reverse implied odds suck as the people ahead of you can be suited and be taking fractions of bb's off of your expectation.

with the k in kj, kt, people often limpt with KQo...but if you have kqo, you are more likely to not be dominated b/c aq, ak raise enough to make you be ahead here. raising is wrong unless you're suited.

ps- i limp ajo here also.

just realized i didn't read the whole question...ATo goes in the maybe, swayed by game conditions and player ability but have to look at reason for folding kj...aj beats ato...and i dont raise here for suited reasons.

Default Comment From HPFAP. What does it mean?

pg 27 para 2.

"This means that in an unraised pot, you can play all hands in Groups 1-5 when the game is typical or tough. In a loose, passive game it is all right to play the group 6 hands as well".

All of the hands I mentioned were in groups 1-6. Why aren't these easy calls?

do you play exactly as HPFAP says to 100% of the time?

this advice is just that...advice...i play as i play and dont tend to think preflop in groups anymore. rather, i play situations and people to maximize ev.

I guess I'm a tight-ass, but these are all pretty much easy folds for me unless the limpers are horrible players in which case I am probably raising ATo, but still folding the rest (and probably still folding ATo, depending on how bad they really are).

I don't really want to play any of these multiway (so limping seems meh), and not vs any decent EP players.
