Default Huge Bankroll question

You know the $25-$50 game at UB plays pretty deep some nights. I've seen piejay with $80k plus spread over 3 tables before. I know that GOG has had 100k on a table. My qustion is where do these guys keep all that money. They surely don't allow UB to hang on to 100k all the time, do they?

What about taxes? With sums of money that deep being transferred back and forth I would assume the gov. would want a chunk of change. Do these guys pay?

Is this a joke? Obviously no one knows the answer to this question and if they did, they wouldn't tell you.

Why wouldn't they keep such a sum of money on UB or another of the top 3 or 4? They are reputable sites and if they folded and kept your money that is not as big a loss as the opportunity lost to keep earning such sums. I keep well over $10K each on multiple sites just to play 15-30 and pot and no-limit holdem and omaha, and if I wanted to play that big game would consider that 50K would be the min to keep on UB if I wanted to be able to play that game.

The cost associated isn't just the risk of the site folding, you're also losing out on potential returns if that money were invested. It sucks to have a bunch of money sitting there doing absolutely nothing for you.

Is it better to have the money in a bank account somewhere making 3-6% annually (10-20% with good/very good investments)?

Let's say they just keep 100,000 online. If they make 15% ($15,000) in a year (hobby player), they are doing as well. I think this is very doable for a good player. Add in the fact that this is how some people choose to make there living or spend their time and the loss of interest elsewhere wouldn't even be a factor. A good player let's say manages 1k average a day. That's a nice salary.

Only my opinion.
