Anouther 40-80 hand
same game, still ok to good.
UTG, different fromt he last hand, limps, MP1 limps CO limps, I limp on the button with 6c6s, both blinds call. flop is 6h7d8h SB checks, BB bets, UTG calls, MP and CO fold, I call. Turn is the 9c BB checks, UTG bets, UTG is loosish and is on a rush which has made him much loose but still not too agressive, I call, BB folds. River is the 2h UTG bets, I call. Comments thanks, dave |

I'd certainly raise the flop here.

Re: Anouther 40-80 hand
I have the feeling he was calling the flop with the intention of raising a safe turn card, but when the scare card fell, he only called in the hopes of rivering a boat, and when he didn't, he called because the pot was big and UTG was a bit laggy.

Re: Anouther 40-80 hand
stork is on the money here, im sure you were waiting for a nonscare card to hit. however, on a scare board like this, you should be pounding the flop instead of waiting until the turn to raise. after you played the flop the way you did however, the rest of the hand is fine.

Re: Anouther 40-80 hand

This doesn't go under the wait till the turn whe i have more equity line? [/ QUOTE ] The difference is that (a) you have a very big hand and (b) there is a pretty decent chance that somebody will 3-bet and you will get to cap. Can't miss opportunities to pump pots when you have a set. |

Re: Anouther 40-80 hand
no, becuase you will still have a lot of equity turn with your boat outs.

This doesn't go under the wait till the turn whe i have more equity line? [/ QUOTE ] no dcm, it doesn't... the reason is there are TOO many scare cards that hurt you and you can get 3 bet after you raise by a draw, thereby allowing you to get even more money in now when a draw will not 3 bet you on the turn... raise the flop dave. -Barron |

Re: Anouther 40-80 hand
Sets are WAY different than vulnerable pairs. You have the best hand *and* the best draw. Pump it up now.
