Default Minimum number of BB to be profitable?

I am sure there has been a topic on this before in some way shape or form. Anyways, I was playing 10/20 at Casinorama the other day. I was on a table that at first appeared to be quite loose but then the tempo changed. There were a number of times where it would get folded around the Big and Small blinds. Who would just take their blinds back. At casinorama at the 10/20 tables there is a session (no rake) The session fee is $10 per hour. This table seemed unprofitable, I was thinking to myself that there is no way that anyone can making any money of this type of table. How good are Aces if you just win the blinds. I was thinking about lowering my raising standards (to steal the blinds) but the blinds would usually call any raise. So I got up and moved tables.

My question is basically how many BB per hand are required to make a profit? How many BB per hand would be considered a loose table and how many would be considered a tight table (but still profitable)?
a) 2/4 small stakes
b) 10/20 Mid stakes

Cheers,
Pots

Well, if you are paying $10/hr to play there and playing 10/20, I would think that you need to make more than $10/hr to break even. Thus, .5BB/hr would be breaking even, anything higher is profit.

Duh.

I think the OP means average pot size in BB.

But it's a poor question, as a given average pot size could be the result of loose play (good) or well-targeted aggression (bad).

it's highly unlikely that any 10/20 game at rama is unprofitable for a good player.
