Default craps & advantage rolling - altering probablilty?

cross posted from "other gambling"

I just got my February Cigar Afficianado. The article in the gambling column is about CRAPS. The premise is that here is a learnable skill called 'advantage rolling' which is basically a special dice-setting and rolling technique which results in fewer than expected sevens.

It is a way of lowering, or even reversing the house edge. While the gained edge is small in terms of absolute % edge, when combined with propperbet/bankroll management, it is reportedly powerful and .

Additionally, there are at least a couple "schools" that teach this, but it apparently takes a ton of practice.

All that being said:
??? does anyone have any such experience with something like this???

aces,

It is possible to use dice throws in home games. The casinos are wise to all the tricks. Scoot the dice and there is a bump in the table that will cause them to roll, and the box man to warn you. The walls of the table are textured to induce a random roll to the die no matter how it hits the board and the rules require it. Sometimes they have a string that your dice must go over and that prevents manipulation too. Drop altered dice and they will be noticed in the mirror, drop loads and they will be randomly checked, use magnents and the dice will roll/stop funny. Don't do it. In a legit casino you will be sent to jail or asked to leave, in home games you will have your legs broken.

so i am guessing it involves trying for one or no dice to hit the back wall with the pyramids?
i looked at the websites for two such schools, but cant seem to find even a clue about what is involved.

Pretty much. I am not a dice mechanic but I think the goal is to control one die whether you are using loads, shaves, tosses, etc.
