Default Turn to River Pot Odds - Please help a beginner

I have a flush draw and after the Flop I correctly called a single bet with 8SB in the pot. Now after the turn there are two bets to me (6BB) and I call again. I miss the draw and there is one more bet to me (7BB), Are my pot odds 7:1 here or really 3.5:1 because of my previous call? Do I need to include my previous bets when calculating my odds? It seems like I would need to, but in SSH holdem there is an example that Slansky uses that doesn't seem to calculate this. Please help. Thanks!

A little confused by your message - is there a raise on the turn or something?

At any rate, pot odds never include past bets, only what you are considering putting in the pot. Here, you're getting 7:1 on the last BB call.

The only adjustments you make are: First, if you think you'll win extra bets on the river if you make your draw, but can fold if you miss it, then you can add those bets to the 7. That's implied odds. On the other hand, if it's pretty clear that by calling here you're going to have to call a bet on the river because you will want to show down your hand and you expect a bet from somebody, you would add that bet to your 1 (e.g., 7:1 could become 8:2 for the two bets you anticipate on the river). That's called Reverse Implied Odds. The former helps your odds for calling, the latter hurts it. If you're on a flush draw, Implied Odds are usually at work, because you can release your hand for no cost on the river if you miss.

The only adjustments you make are

Well, bad example though, but your answer helped a lot. Thanks!
