Default 15/30 55: Rate my play.

So, still dabbling at 15/30 as im still feeling despondent about life and future prospects. However, poker is fun. To the blades edge....

UTG is the only tight player at the table, and is probably a 2+2er, the next tightest player is something like vpip 29, and standard mix of aggressive and over-aggressive.

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises, 2 folds, MP2 3-bets, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, UTG caps, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

I briefly thought about capping myself, but with the likelyhood of the tag to my immediate left capping it being somewhat high, i think i may need a turn-checkraise to help my implied odds. Also, with so many players, i think my hand has zero showdown value, and there is little equity in trying to set up some sort of wicked bluff.

Flop: (20.66 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Well, given that i dont hold the 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], im less comfortable here than i should be, but i learned long ago that only thinking players who dont play above their bankrolls fear the flushdraw. Getting 23:1, i call with a smile.

Turn: (12.83 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button calls, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP2 calls, Button calls.

Theres that pesky situation that is going to make me feel either imbecilic or god-like. Start criticizing now.

River: (19.83 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, Button folds.

Final Pot: 21.83 BB
Main Pot: 21.83 BB, between Hero and MP2.

peace

Nothing wrong w/ the preflop call, its 5-way w/ ppl that like their hands a lot. Set = $$.

I see no problems, the flop call as you know is iffy, by AJ, AQ and ATs wiil all cap here. In the 15, the blind action is crazy. Tread carefully.

ok. Due to my reasons for dabbling in the 15/30, i have been overconcerned about my play, yet trying to not be too self-doubting. I thought this was ok, just wanted to make sure.

MP2 shows a Ah8s, and mhig

I don't think i would call preflop.

I think the call on the flop is pretty standard.

The turn is interesting. I am not sure what I would do. I really don't think it matters much either way.

Since you didn't get raised on the turn, betting out is fine. But since you represented the flush, I don't think you will get raised by a straight or a higher set that rivered you.

Im intrigued. Getting around 5.5:1, with several people demonstrating a willingness to put lots of money in the middle, why do you think its a no go?
