I Have an older version of Eudora (v5.2). I am able to download the e-mail I receive at my Gmail account. However, I get an error when I try to reply to a message. Is this a restriction on Gmail (forcing you to login into the web to send messages) or could it be a problem with my Eudora version?
Does anyone use a POP3 e-mail program with Gmail where you can send and receive messages without loging into the web page? thanks JAque |

First of all, are you using Gmail's SMTP server? I'm not sure if they'll allow e-mails to be sent from your Gmail address from a different SMTP server. If you are indeed using Gmail's SMTP, make sure TLS is enabled and set to the correct port (587 I believe). A good free e-mail client to look into is Mozilla Thunderbird.
