Early betting opportunity on the Eagles in the SB?
If you are going to bet the Eagles, I think the line will be the best in the next few days.
The Steelers were seen as a much better team than the Falcons and the public will be looking at the blowout when they bet initially. However, I don't think you'll see four turnovers by the Eagles, which means the points will be a lot less. The Eagles' offensive strength is the pass, which will play stronger against the Pats D than running would. So, I see a possible surge in the NE line in the first few days of betting- whether the line drops back down or not depends on the read of the Eagles' strength. Counter-arguments? |

In that case take NE - 7 now.
My personal bet will be the under 47. |

Ouch, it\'s at a key number already?
Damn, I can't see it moving too far off the 7, can you? Or will the public come down that heavily on the Pats?
I'm not so sure about the under- most SB games have been above that, haven't they? I'll have to go look. Nice job, by the way, with all of your prop bets over the last week or so. I look forward to seeing your SB picks for props. |

Re: Ouch, it\'s at a key number already?
I've had $500 on indy ov broncos..then $1000 on ne over indy
and now $1000 on ne over pitts...Think i'm gonna lay $2000 on NE -6.5. The Pats play in the AFC which is ten times better than the NFC...Philly played in a godawful division so you can't pay attention to their record becuase its heavily inflated. If a team is strong in passing it favors the Pats....thats why Pitt had the best shot because they had supposedly such a dominant running attack. Belichek has shut down the passing offense of Indy and the running offense of Pitts and scored more than 30 points on the best defense in the league. You really think the Eagles are going to pose much of a challenge?? The Pats have been to the superbowl 3 times in the last 4 years...the key factor--nerves,expiernce,dealing with all the crap gives the Pats a big edge. The only thing going for the Eagles is if they get a healthy T.O. back. Qb-Huge edge to Pats WR-With no T.O....Edge Pats RB-Even Oline-Slight edge to eagles Defense-Huge edge Pats Kicker-Slight edge Pats....akers is pretty solid. Coach-Huge edge Pats Intagables-Huge edge Pats Expierance-Huge edge Pats If T.O. can't play then the Pats win by 10 or more. |

I think -7 will generate equal action so I dont see the line moving.

The two teams are lot more evenly matched than you, or quite frankly, anyone thinks. That's just fine for me, because we'll see Eagles +7, grab it up now! |

Re: Ouch, it\'s at a key number already?
I agree with CCx the Eagles are being undervalued at this line. These have been the best two teams in the NFL for the last 3 years.
By the way I was very impressd with Trotter this week. I have never seen him get off blocks that well as an Eagle or a Redskin. That might have been the best game of his career. If he plays that well in the Super Bowl the Eagles will win. Oh yea, this is the Super Bowl always take the over. |

These are two really good teams from top to bottom. |

Andy Reid and Jim Johnson are no pushovers and have accomplished quite a bit, but I do agree that your coaches are the best in the league hands down. |
