Final Pot: 10.50 BB I'm not sure about the river here. I felt that the only way to win this hand was to bet the river. Comments? |

I'm just throwing this out for discussion, and you'd obviously need a pretty strong read on this opponent to attempt it, but is this one of those situations where a river c/r might fold him when a river bet wouldn't?
I'd have played this hand the same way you did...whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is also up for debate. |

I think I would do it the same. Except, I would not 3 bet the flop and the probably lead the turn (usually) And when it is heads-up I usually bet AK right to the end unless I am almost certain I will get called with any pair. I think a Check-raise is a bad idea. You will very rarely get that play to work. Not often enough to be profitable (IMO).

Call the flop raise bet the flop. Looks like you ran into a calling stations w/a pair

3-betting flop and betting down won't work I don't think. Villain is not folding a pair.

why not let it go after all he raised twice and called your raise/bet three times...i would have either tried to check raise turn or move on...is this too tight>?
