why would you not raise on fourth? try to either see where you stand or get a free card on the next round.

I don't like raising 4th here.

I'm not convinced he has split Jacks. So I don't know if I "want" a free card. All I know is that if he doesn't have split Jacks I want him to continue firing on the big streets.

So I didn't want to shut this guy down

Huh? If you didn't want a free card, then you could have bet yourself. I think there are good reasons not to raise on 4th street, but I don't consider that one of them.
