Good laydown? or not?

This was a $50 2/table sit-n-go tournament online. Top 4 get paid. None of the play up this point was out of line from the other player. So when he check-raised me on the turn I thought of the possible hands where he would check the flop and the turn then raise me:

These are the hands that could beat me:
QT, 99, 88, J8, J9, AJ, T7

I could only hope he had JQ or JT

or J7?, J6?, etc.. these seem unlikely

or tie with KJ

but would he play one of those hands the way he did. I think it was unlikely. Yes, I had a good hand, but was it the best hand?

I can't just call, either I had the best hand, or I didn't. I had to either move all-in or fold. With a check raise on the turn, I was facing another bet on the river.

Was this a good laydown?
