I'm not as adamant about raising AJo preflop in an unraised pot as some of the other posters here are, but usually I do, and I certainly would in LP after just one limper, unless that limper was ultra-tight.

The flop and turn seem fine to me, but I think you should bet the river. There's a good chance everyone will fold anyway on this four-flush board, but I doubt a higher club or the 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] would check to you very often after the turn got checked through.

yeh thats where my dilemma was: these guys liked to check raise. so after it got checked around on the turn then the river, i thought maybe they checked the river again in hopes to check raise to make up for their missed opportunity at the turn.

am i ahead often enough to make the value bet worth it?

Well, there are four cards that beat you, but I'd bet and take my chances. I think people with straights and pairs might call, especially since the turn got checked through, and they might suspect a bluff.

A checkraise would be annoying, but I'd call one here, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if I called that checkraise and beat a worse flush or even a bluff on this scary board.

I would have raised preflop and bet the river. I know what you mean about being worried about a check-raise, but in this situation they may even try a check raise with a lower flush. Betting the river is best.
