Default Folding KK preflop

Has anyone else ever laid down KK preflop...here's my scenerio in which I did.
I was playing 5/5 NL at Salamenca NY Casino. I had about 1100 in front of me and the man to my right was the only player who could cover me. He was slightly drunk but for the most part a very passive player. A very loose player in mid position raises to 25, and the man to my right is on the button and makes it 50. I (in the small blind) look down and see kings. Maybe I shoulda just called but there were about 5 limpers and it wasnt outta the question for them to cold call 50 considering the table was fairly inexperienced. So I reraise to 200, everyone folds to the button and he drunkenly says "Yeah ok I'm all in" for 1200 putting me all in. I showed my hand hoping to catch a read but he was too drunk for me to pick up anything, so I end up laying it down. Part of me believes he had AK or QQ but being a fairly passive player I could make him for AA and considering I turned my original buy in of 200 into 1200 I didn't wanna risk my whole night in a potentially dominated pot. What do you guys think?

I think you made a bad laydown. If he had AA on the button with 4 or 5 limpers yet to act, I would think he would want to get heads up rather than min raising. Had he made it $100 I would be more inclined to think you were behind. I think he had AK.

I've laid down Kings preflop probably 4 or 5 times, but each time to players I knew extremely well - And each time they showed me AA.

Must call, he min raise 25 on button with 4 limper, I guess he have AK or mid pp and not AA for sure. No matter how much he reraising u, u should reraise him and call his all in.

And It is no good to show ppl u lay down KK, u can't win much later when u have a monster.

Thanks for the respones and now allow me to justify my lay down. First of all I dont mind showing my hand because the table was very weak and by showing the ability to lay that hand down allowed me to steal alotta pots because people made me for a strong player, once they realized i was bulleying later I was able to get alotta action on my big hands and ended up cashing out 2000. Secondly I wasn't playing w/scared money I was willing to make that call had I been sure I was ahead but I trusted my read that he was on AA. Like I said he was a very passive player very rarely raising preflop, and to him, although it was the min raise, $50 was alot of money and he was the type of person who liked to slow play big hands. Still a bad lay down?

Why? What am I missing. I was always told to trust my read. If I call and he shows me AA for 1100 I'm not real happy w/myself for not trusting my gut. What did I miss that justifies a call?

His PF raise combined with his drunkeness - You said "slightly drunk" early and then said he was "too drunk" to get a reaction from, so I'm assuming he was more than slightly drunk. If it was a bankroll decision, it was OK, but if this is the first time you've played with him and he's drunk, I'm calling. I've seen too many drunk guys move in PF w TT and AQ to lay this down.

I now see where you are coming from and I agree completely. I'm not laying KK down to a reckless drunk. However, I've played with this guy on several occassions and he's usually a weak player as I said, very meak and rarely raises always looking to trap. This was the first time he was relatively drunk along with the first time ive seen him w/a significant amount of money in front of him; However he was still playing his normal style.

I have never laid down KK to that type of action in a cash game. I have only been shown AA once. I would lay it down at the beginning of a big tournament though.

As for flashing them. You said you are trying to get a reaction. You shouldn't care what he had when you decide to fold. You should only show that hand if you are looking to invite aggression from the table.
