Default Questions about SB play

I have a little trouble with my small blind play. When I play at party poker 2/4 at the moment, I usually pick really loose tables. Often there will be 5 limpers. The table is very passive. I will usually play any ace or any two suited cards from the small blind. Because I am getting 12 to 1 on that extra $1. What about playing a hand like 87o or Q9o? I am getting great odds and I think that if I do hit 2 pair or better that I will get paid off.

Is my thinking way out line? I realize that the majority of the time I will just have to check and fold the flop, but with 12 to 1 is it ever worth it? What if it is 14 to 1? or 16 to 1? Someone help me out. I want to understand why it isn't worth it to play any 2 cards with such great odds.

Cheers,
Pots
