Default Anyone play pool / other types of gamling?

I know everyone here has the poker bug.... but what did you do before online poker?

As for me, well I played pool. Everyday! It was always for money and a huge adrenalin rush for me. Since my first deposit in Party Poker... I have not touched my cue stick. As a matter of fact... I went into my local poolhall this weekend and sold my treasured cue! I figured if I am not going to use it... might as well let someone else enjoy it.

Now I just have to figure out how to eliminate this darn job from getting in the way of my poker game!

I'm a pool player (that's where the screen name came from). I also bowl a lot too.

I've been shooting pool for almost 12 years now. I actually haven't played in about 2 months, but we have some big tournaments coming up soon, so I'll be putting a lot of time back on the tables to get back in stroke.

I do a lot of sports betting, especially college football and college basketball. In addition, I love to bet on anything. Trivia, ping-pong, driveway basketball, darts, pool, etc.

I used to play a lot of pool.

Incidentally, I've played NL with Allen Hopkins a few times--it was quite an experience.

We don't have BCA leagues here. I wish we did. However, there are quite a few pool tournaments and Princeton, WV has a heck of a pool club. We have actually won 5 straight state championships and 3 years ago got 2nd in the International tournament in Orlando, FL.

The concept of handicapped tournaments is unheard of in these parts. Which is both good and bad. I like the non-handicapped system because it's easier for me to win a tournament. However, overall I think it's bad because it keeps newer players away from the games. The only handicapping that goes on here is when playing for money, I might have to spot a weaker player the 7, or a couple games on the wire.

As for the Schon, 3 of my friends own them and love them. They all have Predator 314 shafts for them though. I was thinking about getting one myself, but I just can't get used to the skinny butt and the way they are weighted. I'll stick with my 3K6.
