Hellmuth isnt at the final table.
Only 631 entrants in 2002.

How many for 03, 04?
Im sure 05 will be like 5,000

2003 had 839 entrants.
2004 had 2,576.

I think that they might actually cap the number of possible entrants in 2005. The number I've heard is 6060 (no idea where they got that number from).

PH takes a ton of flack (no not layne) in the poker world (which is for the most part deserved). that being said, you can't take away the fact that he is one of the best tournament players in the world. furthermore, how can you not like watching him play? his blowups alone are worth the price of my monthly cable bill.

I'm guessing 6600, as I've seen figures that suggest each of the 3 "Day 1" heats will involve 1000-2200 players.

Agreed, as a kid I absolutely loved watching John McEnroe play b/c you knew no matter what, he would blow up at some point, and the entertainment value alone made it worth watching. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
