My favorite hand in my first year of play (and the worst bad beat)

I just found the bad beat site rivered again .com that said I could be the one that put the beat on someone else, and posted this, please forgive my writing skills. I though you guys might apreciate the situation

This is the worst beat I have seen, and the amazing thing was who it really came from. I play online, but love to get out to get out to the Seneca casino in Salamanca New York. The games used to be really loose and helped me learn poker without loosing my rent money.
It was the Thursday before New Years Day, and the casino was packed with over 50 players waiting to play. I am at a usual 3/6 limit game stuck with a couple of regulars who i've played against dozens of times, thinking their must be more easy money in the room than ever. I am just about dead even after 4hrs and my little sister gets up from her 2/4 game and says " let's get going" ( down 40 or 50). You know how us obsessive types are, I gave her the typical " wait til the blinds come around again". Even a blind squirrel has to find a or the "nut" sooner or later.
So she is wathcing me play and I show her Q/J of spades in the big blind. Something to start with in the big blind. Well the flop comes 8,9 of spades with a 6 of hearts. I want to say there were five players in, and i checked hoping this newbie no limit cowboy raises from middle position. Predictable, as these players can be he raises, gets a couple of callers, and i reraise hoping to get heads up with him at some point. I t got down to four of us, then the turn comes 10 of spades!!!!... So I check again hoping to max out the best hand I have ever made! My sister in the meantime doesn't help by leaning over and squealing in my ear that I made the straight flush. Thank God the room was so full and he was sitting direrctly to my left because true to form cowboy bets. One player calls, I love reraising the guy to my left. And they both called for 6 more! The river comes some brick and I bet away. At this point I am getting overwhelmed by my good fortune and starting to shake. Under the table I start counting on my fingers to five and saying eight, nine, ten, jack queen under my breath. I know you veterans can contain yourselves, but I still can't believe my good fortune. Cowboy raises, the other player folds. Now at Salamanca there re unlimited raises heads up and it is pretty obvious this guy is hooked. I have dreamt of this for the year that I have been playing this game. He must have the ace high flush. So I look at him like I am trying to get a read on his strength, look @ the board and down at my cards. "Reraise" and cowboy quickly raises me back. Now I am so excited it is not hard for me to appear stressed, and I should win an academy award for my performance. A regular player I respect greatly sitting to my right speaks up saying " unlimited raises are not allowed when their are thre players involved at the beginning of the hand." I probably should have been pissed, but nothing could overcome my excitement and I believe he was tying to relieve my dilema. But then I am looking at the pile of chips in front of cowboy, and turn and whisper "shut up" to the regular. The dealer wasn't sure waht the rule was, and was looking around for the floorperson. The regular showed his true colors and says " let them play, let's keep this game going". It seems like forever wiating for the dealer and a ruling from the floor person, who finally says that if it was just two players when it was capped then we can continue. So I reraise and cowboy comes right back at me. Once I had been in this spot with the nut full house and string bet when I could have gotten another couple of hundred from a guy, so I have thought alot about this spot and am ready to make my move. First I have a black chip under my stack of one and threes that they play with. Second I look at the guy withall of my nervous energy and say " i am here to gamble, reraise". In hindsight it sounds nuts, but I don't know of a better way. Again cowboy fires his chips out. I rub my fingers through my hair and ask the dealer " do we have to keep going on like this?". To which the dealer says " no you can just go all in". Later another dealer said that was not according to the rules. I still can't pull myself out of the role, and run my fingers through my hair, sigh and push my chips forward.
The next part is the most unbelievable. Cowboy flips over a six of spades and a seven of diamonds, saying "straight flush". I wathced as the the dealer was confused and so was I, and finally flipped over my Q high straight flush. The dealer was still tying to make out cowboys disaster when the other players called out my hand. I raked in the biggest pot I may have ever seen at a 3/6 table. And jumped up and high fived my sister who was almost as excited as me. I took almost five more hands for me to organize my chips and my sister told me to relax, because I was still shaking from all of the ups and downs of the ride. So, I played my blinds again and got up a few hundred ahead. Cowboy was visibly shaken and I would have liked to play him some more, but I was gald to leave up , and probaly was on my own version of tilt.Before that hand I was getting tired and not paying too close attention because the cards were running so slow. So It just goes to show that the old saying really is true; even a blind squirrel can find the nut. And what a bad beat that guy put on himself!

It wasn't actually a bad beat, other player got confused about his hand. All he had was a ten high straight.
