He's opening from a middle position and you are only in the small blind. Why must you defend?

Nice hand, but I agree. I don't see it as anything you should be calling with from the SB.

mostly because at this stage it is more or less the only way to get to play a hand. Most stacks at around T10.000 go all in from any position with any ace or any pair. Even with good hands, my stack can't stand many coin-flip losses. Post-flop play seems the surest way to make chips. At least, this was my thinking here, and it might very well be all wrong. Had just lost T.15.000 to A2o with KK in the SB.

This hand isnt about defending your tiny blind, its more about trying to cripple yourself..

Gotcha! I'll refrain from these silly plays (except on occasion), and try to figure out better ways to increase stack size at this stage, without resorting to too many coin-flip situations. Thanks.
