Default 99 in australia

6 MAN tables
blinds 150 300 and rasing to 200 400 in 1 minute
i have 5000 in chips when the average was 7000
UTG had 15000 in chips and raises it up to 1500
I have 99 on the button and call..... i would like some comments.

It pretty much depends on what range of hands the villain is raising with UTG. Most of the hands that I would put an average villain on have you dominated or are coin flips. You're paying to high of a percentage of your stack if you're hoping to hit a set. What have you seen him raise with 5xbb?

What's your plan on the flop if it's checked to you and there's an overcard or if villain bets out?

I lean towards mucking rather than calling unless I've got a read that villain has pretty loose opening standards utg. If I was going to play them, I'd probably come over the top of him preflop and try to take it down.
