Amazon\'s \"Share the Love\" for poker books?
For those who don't know, Amazon has a thing where, on the screen right after you purchase an item, there is a box for you to enter e-mail addresses of people who might want to purchase the same item(s) you purchased. If they purchase an item you purchased, they get a 10% discount, and you get store credit equal to the amount of that discount.
So, I figure a whole lot of people here have bought poker books from Amazon, and we could probably all be saving money with this program. Any thoughts? Anyways, if anybody purchases either of the following: -Ken Warren Teaches Texas Hold'em -Harrington on Hold 'em I would be very grateful if you could share the love. And they are right. There are many threads discussing which is the best starter book. The most commonly mentioned are Winning Low Limit Hold 'Em by Lee Jones, and Matthew Hilger's book (don't remember name). Small Stakes Hold 'Em by NPA Ed Miller is regarded by many here as the best of it's kind (that may not be unrelated to the fact that he's a 2+2er), but is also thought not to be a beginner's book. lain,
You can also get HOH at Borders. If you go to their site they have an online coupon for 15% off any one item. Someone posted the link here before but I can't recall it. That's where I purchased my copy. |

Re: Amazon\'s \"Share the Love\" for poker books?
I will be buying at Amazon:
Hold'Em For Advanced Players and Pyscology of Poker or Inside the Poker Mind If anyone else wants to buy these PM me for an exchange of emails. I want to buy soon, so don't delay. The first person to buy gets a 10% refund, the second person to buy gets a 10% discount. I don't think there is a time limit on the discount, so if your planning on buying these titles in the future, it will probably still work as long as I put your email in with my purchase. |
