Direct and Indirect
I just browsed the post about the letter to a compulsive gambler. I stumbled upon Dr. Al's comment about attacking the weak.
Just a quick question, |

Re: Direct and Indirect
At the poker table you are there for yourself, running a factory you control the wages and you also control who works for you.

Re: Direct and Indirect
Take the guy's money at the poker table.
You may get in trouble with the police in your factory so up the wages to legal limits. |

Re: Direct and Indirect
The wages you pay at your factory are dictated by the market. If your wages are to low, then you won't have any workers or your workers will be so bad they do not have the skills to do quality work.
Unless you are employing illegal aliens or migrant workers on a seasonal basis. I guess in either case you are taking advantage of people, some because they can't get a job anywhere else and some because they can't stop gambling. |
