Re: question about my play on this hand
I'm admittedly no veteran, but I'm thinking this is a check it down situation.
You're second stack. Money starts at 3rd. And 5th stack makes it 900 with 6900 in the pot. Insta call PF. But, with the board as it is, you've hardly got the goods. You caught a piece but it's a weak piece. You're beat by any 9, and any overpair, i'll discount the staight here. On the turn, I would check-call a small bet, check-fold a big one. But, you bet... once you did that and got called you have to put MP on a hand at least as good as yours, if not better, he's not calling with bottom pair or Ace high here. If he's got nothing, he'd let you take the shortie out. At least that's how I see it. Edit: Just realized 86 suited is plausible. It might be a made straight letting you kill yourself. |

Re: question about my play on this hand
At which point do you think going up against the skilled big stack with middle pair, no kicker on a pretty dangerous board and no side pot was a good idea?
I'm guessing you ran into an overpair or a 9, but given the bubble situation there was no reason to even bet the turn. |

Re: question about my play on this hand
i should say that mp is somewhat aggreesive preflop with any decent cards.
