I would make the same play, but I am 90% sure it is wrong. I think you'll be looking at a K here most of the time.

Have you thought about not check-raising the flop and waiting for a safe turn (i.e. a non-club). This will prevent you from having appear weak in case a club comes off. Moroever, check-raising the turn is, I think, a stronger move that gets more money in.

Tough call without a read, but I'd prolly fold as well. Maybe not best play but....

For another $10 you are not giving odds to draw for the flush, even on the turn. If the flush hits on the turn, you can check/fold if you think he has the flush and it is still a better play to raise the flop. The 3/4 of the time that there is a safe turn more than make up for the 1/4 of the time that the flush hits. That is what it means to be giving the wrong odds to draw.

he showed K8o. good bluff by him or bad play by me, i don't know. guess it's just how poker goes. he certainly can't be great playing K8 in early position
