Default 5/10 6 max aq hand

hi. i started limit about a week ago so still unsure about alot of things. should i be betting or checking this turn? the flop 3 bet seems automatic given the times he is on a flush draw.

possible reasons against betting:
he could have a jack
he could bluff c/r me with a draw after being so aggressive on the flop
he could have flopped something better than me to begin with
if i am ahead he still has big outs

basically if i bet i am hoping he has a draw and wont hit. better to just check here and call a bet? he will often throw in a bet with a worse hand probably if i check, and i minimize my losses if he has me beat. thoughts?

hi just thought about it some more, let me know if i am off here.

If he has lower ace I lose 1 bet.

If he has a jack or AK, I bet, and call down, I save 2 bets

If he has a flush draw, I lose .8 bets in value by missing a turn value bet, but I gain part if not all of that back by inducing a bluff from busted draws on the river.

So it seems that checking the turn here is somwhere between .5BB and 1BB better? (assuming draw, lower ace, and higher ace/jack are equally likely. if we decrease the probability of jack or AK, which now i realize is necessary, betting becomes +EV. i bet he would have to have a jack or AK here 20% of the time or so for checking to be close)

Bet the turn, too much NL has warped you brain. that is a classic NL move that doesnt work so well in most limit situations. This being one of them.

what bunky said, plus i think you can fold to a check/raise here a good percentage of the time. anyone think folding to a turn c/r is bad given a typical 5/10'er?
