5/10. call the flop, raise the turn?

sb bets, fold, call, you? do you raise it up here, or is this a good example of where you should call the flop and raise the turn?

This is a horribke time to raise the turn, on a co-ordinated scary board. Raise now.

You'll be a much bigger favorite if you raise a blank on the turn. The fact that it's coordinated and scary is kinda the point of waiting to raise.

There are a lot of problems with raising the turn. One, you can't be sure he's going to bet again, especially if a scare card falls. Two, there are a lot of cards that are really ugly for you, making it hard to raise or likely that you'll get 3 bet if you raised the turn. Three, he may be betting out so he can 3 bet something like AJ, allowing you to shut out the limper.

Nothing personal, but i think this logic is horrible. Bad hands will fold and better hands will re-raise you and you almost have to call down. You should raise to see where your at and some some weaker holdings to fold. You don't want to raise into a scary board when you could be beat, waiting to raise the turn is good if

A.) Have a monster and aren't worried about a free or cheap card
B.) Are very confident that you have the best hand now and really want to punish draws when they have 1 card left.

This doesn't fall into either of these catergories

I like raising the flop - an informational bet. If he bets after the turn (and after you raised the flop), you have a better idea that you are behind.

I see no reason to slow play - board is too scary.
