Default Gamble in the rebuy period?

8th out of 200, Stars 10+1 rebuy. Still in rebuy-period.
Do you call and gamble, or fold and protect your stack? I was aiming for the big stack, so wasn't too thrilled about the raise.
I figured he had the 9, but not the boat. I called. He completed the quads.

IMHO, I believe *rebuy* hour is all about gambling and building up your stack..Not quite sure if I would gamble after building up 20k+ though! GL I have about 11k in this tournament.

There is no way you should even be in that pot. You don't need chips so why gamble?!

You shouldn't even be playing this at all. There is a point in the rebuy period when you've built a huge stack, and you should quit gambling. I quit gambling when I have 9k-10k. You should have folded this before the flop, and the call on the flop is even worse.

Personally, I like to have about 20-25k at the 10:15 p.m rebuy, just because it helps me stay close to the field later on when I tighten up and blinds do not affect my stack at all...I would say in the earlier rebuys that about half of that is sufficient (for me) but I'll probably gamble to get more..as long as it's not 5 minutes before the break.

I tend to agree with Jennicide here. Calling 150 in the SB with this hand is ok, IMIO. The flop call is highly questionble tho, I was in OK shape before the call, a loss wouldn't hurt me irreparably. An overcall from UTG could give me a great stack to work with should it hit.

How much time is left in the rebuy period? This is very important.

blinds T50, think the round just started, so just half-way in. Wouldn't have made the call in the 4th round.

I fold this hand. There are better positions and opportunities to make money in the rebuy period. You have the chipstack to take advantage of good positional plays and stonger hands. No need to take a hit with a hand like this.
