Are either of you using poker tracker or gametime+ while playing.

I just started using them and don't think they did it themselves but do think they may have slowed my computer down enough that some strange things like that have started to happen infrequently.

It never happened before

Yes, I'm using both PT and GT+. Usually have 4 tables open to datamine while I play. I haven't noticed that the poker client will lag, just PT while it is grinding away (partially solved by moving out old hand histories into another folder at the end of an evening).

I believe the bug is related to a timer function that is somehow linked to the OS. It seems the reason for the time outs is that the timer is not reset locally in the client, hence the client believes you have timed out when you in fact have not. I have been able to get rid of the problem by uninstalling the client, running an OS bug-fix program, and then re-installing, with reboots between each step. Whether it is sloppy programming by Party Poker, or a general OS bug I'm not sure (but I would lean towards the latter, Windows is not exactly famous for its reliability...)

Yes. Since their last upgrade, the buttons are fine. But now the entire table disappears!

I don't know if this scenario fits your situation or not. But a few days ago I added a second monitor and had this problem. I had a 2001fp plugged into the DVI (?) port and a regular crap monitor plugged into the DB25 (?) port of the same video card, and had this problem.

I'd have 4 tables open, and after a few hands one table would lose it's buttons. I'd closed that table, and a few hands later, I'd lose the buttons on another table, etc. Someone told me that it sounded like something in the way the video card not managing repainting the screen correctly, or at all when it was my turn to act on the table where the buttons wouldn't show up. He said to add a second video card if I wanted to do that, or get a better video card. Also to try to upgrade the drivers for the video card might help too. I haven't tried any of these things, I just took off the second monitor until I get a chance to try something else.

Like I said, I don't know if this is the same situation that you are in, but this is what I have experienced.
