Default Brantford 10/20 hand

Table playing fairly loose with spots of weird aggression every now and again. Average 4-5 / flop.

I pick up QJ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in BB. 2 limp, TAG MP raises, 2 cold-call, I call, rest call.

6 to flop (12 SB) -> 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Checked to MP who bets, 4 calls.

5 to turn (8.5 BB) -> 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Whats your action?

Bet the flop then get to showdown unless the action is explosive.

I think there's a good argument for checking here, simply because of the number of callers and therefore the likelihood of somebody who made the flush. Would all 3 of your other opponents really have been calling MP's bet with less than a flush draw? I would check and call one bet (or possibly two) and re-assess when the river comes (obviously another heart would be very bad news).

Am I the only one that thinks the flop call is marginal? Call me weak, but not closing the action and 1 of your 4 outs is dirty, I would like a little more cushion than about 10-1 to make the call. Maybe I am too weak????

No, you aren't the only one. I think it's marginal at best.

Care to elaborate as to why you think this is an automatic call when you have two people to act behind you?

because brantford is a passive game and because your odds aren't that bad even if you have to call another bet.
