help: sng spreadsheet troubles

hi, reg. reader, seldom post. i have been trying to install the orig. aleo magus sng spreadsheet from all the various links i have found. i have excel 5.0 installed in windows xp. i get it in excel, then i get the word that the file cant be opened. what am i doing wrong. this stuff is way over my head. i'm ok in the graphics dept. but this has me tearing at my hair. any help would be really appreciated. thanks in advance. h

I believe that the spreadsheet just opens like a webpage does when you click on the link. After it is opened, just do File -> Save As and then put it where you want it.

i have yet to have any of the links ever open for me. i right click on them, put them in favorites, and then work from there to get the zip file out. h. tried again tonite.........a big mess.

Try this link, courtesy of eastbay. I just downloaded it and it worked fine. I right-clicked, saved As... to desktop and windows opened the zip file fine. Make sure you enable macros when you open the file, otherwise the UI will not work.

thanks folks (esp the tip about the macros). anyone else want to help a 'limper'? also, could i get a walk-thru on how u use poker tracker w/ sngs? or is this not possible? there is a reason why i have to be 'spoon fed', but i don't like to air the laundry---not what this forum is for. thanks again.............h
