KQs at the turn with K67K board
The cast:
BB - loose, doesn't read the board well, bets a lot post-flop but generally passive in the face of resistance. Down about $50 over a couple hours MP1 - calling station and down a rack or two over several hours. CO - new, but nothing special yet. Hero - Nowhere close to tight, but invariably I'm the guy low-limit players don't want involved in their pots. Take that however you will... 9-handed 3/6 B & M game. Hero is MP2 with black KQs UTG folds UTG+1 folds MP1 limps HERO raises MP3 folds CO calls Button folds SB folds (4 players) Flop: K67 black two tone and I've got the small piece of the flush BB bets MP1 calls Hero calls CO folds (3 players) Turn: Red King BB bets MP1 calls Hero raises BB 3-bets MP1 folds Hero 4-bets BB calls I'll save my commentary for follow up... Pot at turn: 12.67 BB

Sure, I have a vulnerable hand and am probably way ahead, but I also have customers to consider and some redraws if I'm behind. I was beating myself up a little for not betting when CO folded, but I was pretty sure I was ahead of a weaker K. What do you think of the turn action?

Given that you called the flop, I think the turn cap is ok if you think BB would play any King this way.
I think a flop raise in this spot is a must to maximize the value you get out of KQ when you flop top pair. As an added bonus you are likely to fold out the CO (even though he folded for just one bet here.

River - 2H
BB Bets Hero Raises BB Calls BB shows K6o and the winner. I was behind the whole way with a good number of outs. Didn't keep him around, though. Took him about an hour or so to bust out. Understanding that for whatever reason the flow of the game caused me to slow play a vulnerable hand... (at the time, I think I was conscious of the fact that I might be raising more than my share of hands)... Q: Is the turn cap correct? Q: Is the river raise overplaying my hand?

The 3-bet made me consider the possibility that he flopped a set and filled up on the turn, but that just didn't feel right. It seemed more likely that he put me on a big pocket or overs pair that missed and thought I was making a move on him.

You need to charge those draws. Not raising here is a major mistake IMO. [ QUOTE ] What do you think of the turn action? [/ QUOTE ] I like it, but if you were at Canterbury I'd be a little scared, cuz people at 3/6 RARELY 3-bet unless they have the goods. That said, I like your play and you are probably good here.
