I like it. If he has a better J, so be it. Anything else that beats you paid way too much on the flop.

played well. Like the 3 bet on flop with that many draws out there, you protected your hand well and forced MP2 out who probably woulda called had u just called the raise on the flop.

are you capping the turn if he 3-bets?

if not, wouldn't it be better to call the turn and raise the river? he should bet worse hands again on the river. by waiting until the river, better hands may be less likely to 3-bet and worse hands may be more likely to call for that last bet.

if you plan on capping the turn for value, then raising the turn is much better.

this isn't something i've used much, but have thought about recently. maybe i'm way off base

I don't see anything wrong. I love the flop 3-bet.

I see where you're going, but I was pretty sure I had him beat. Especially since he didn't cap the flop. And, if he had a draw, I wanted to charge him the most I could.

If he 3-bet the turn, I probably would have called down fearing J9 or J6, since he is loose afterall.

Normally, I would smooth call his flop check-raise and return the favor on the turn. You're in perfect position to do so, esp. if he is LAGgy. I prefer turn aggression to flop aggression when I'm pretty certain I'm ahead.

I would like this play if you were up against 1 opponent. MP2 is more likely to call the 3-bet on the flop than 2 bets on the turn (assuming the SB bets into you after smooth-calling the flop).

While it is close, I think you have a better chance of making more $$$ on hand by 3-betting the flop.
