Custom King\'s Crown Group Buy
As some of you know, I am organizing a group buy of custom dual-edgespot T.R. King chips with their stock "King's Crown" inlay. The price I have been quoted by T.R. King for 5,000 chips or more is $0.85 apiece. Please PM me with your email address and how many chips you would be looking to buy if you are interested. In the meantime, please comment on my rough mockups with my initial thoughts on colors:
$1 Light Blue - Dark Blue/White $5 Red - Dark Blue/Yellow $25 Green - Light Green/Pink $100 Black - Purple/Light Turquoise $500 Purple - Orange/White Please note that the colors I used are only rough - how the colors actually appear on the real chips from T.R. King will certainly vary a bit. All comments welcome. |

Re: Custom King\'s Crown Group Buy
Dark blue on the $1 chips. Not so sure on the edge spot colors, but not bad at all!

Re: Custom King\'s Crown Group Buy
Nice job.
Consider something like this one dollar chip (as pictured above but with a double-wide light blue at top and bottom and a double-wide white at left and right). By using this inlay one could draw from these chips for other denominations or to replaces ones in the custom set that someone really didn't like as much as the 'stock' ones offered by TR King or Apache. From TR KING $.90 per chip (e.g. if you wanted the white 4 1/8" brown for your $1 instead of the one from the custom set or if you wanted to add a $5k or $10k edgespot chip) From Apache Pokerchips $.87 each (e.g. if you really wanted a plain white chip or a few $10,000) |

Re: Double Wide Edge Spots
Yeah, I like the way that looks. I will have to give Dennis a call and see if this type of edge spot is an option at the same price. Maybe do it with both (all) lower-denom chips?

Maybe even the moon inserts for one of the chips?

Re: Double Wide Edge Spots
Hey Ray! Good luck with the group buy, hope you enjoy the new chips! Right now I'm working on a custom poker table before I got with a chip upgrade.
Got a player at my events who's going to custom-build a racetrack style table with cupholders. He even wants me to do a custom graphic/logo for the felt portion of the table. I think we're going with "Triple Threat Poker". Just gotta work on my designs. Anyway, catch ya later man, maybe at tha' Woods sometime! AJ |

Re: Double Wide Edge Spots
I'm pretty sure that you can do the $1 I proposed for the same price as the other 4*2 chips. These are just white-white, blue-blue, white-white.
If you're going to do $1 and $5 different than the others, might I suggest that you leave off the white spots on the $1 (so it will have dark blue chip with light blue at 12 and 6... Dennis would fill in the 3 and 9 inserts with dark blue). I'm 99.44% sure this would work out and look ok (e.g. insert composition and chip composition are the same, right?). |

Re: Double Wide Edge Spots
I'm not crazy about the moons, in general. But mock-ups might make that easier.
Also: any chance to do a single non-denominated chip people could use for fill-ins as a $2.50 or $1,000? I don't think you're going to have a problem hitting 5k on this order. |
