Default Cap flop with set?

Did I do the right thing by capping the flop with the middle set?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Yes, but then you should have raised the turn.

Even though this guy has AA I would put in one more raise before I gave him credit for it. It'll be AJ or AK often enough.

Probably, but I was just assuming our hero took it in the shorts since he posted the hand.

Who knows though, sometimes people are tricky.

(I also didn't look at the river action.)

If he did in fact have AA, you didn't lose nearly as much as I would have. Be thankful for that. No wait, I take that back. Don't be thankful. You're costing yourself money by dreaming up monsters.

Set over set happens, but so infrequently that you absolutely cannot play like it is a standard outcome. It is not, it is the exception.

Pump the turn and come out firing on the river with this hand. If you lost this one, tough titty. That's poker. You'll make up for it with the next several exact same scenarios.

Cap the turn. If he leads out again, you can probably just call.

I beleive the villian put our hero on quad dueces. He must be from the small province of weaktightiland that I am from. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
