Default AK

Unknown opens in EMP, SLA (24/7) cold calls in LP and I 3 bet AK in BB. They call and flop is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I bet unknown raises and only I call.

Turn is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and I check call.

River is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]; I check intending to call.

Usually, this is fine.

If you want to mix it up, check-raise the turn. If 3-bet, fold. If he calls, check-fold the river. I think he's likely enough to fear a check-raise that he may check it through. If he bets, I really don't think you're doing any better than a split.

But yeah, no problems here. You can't fold the flop and you can't call the turn unless you plan on calling the river.

And I don't think you should fold the turn against an unknown.

It's a totally valid move. If you plan on calling the river, it's fine to sometimes bet out. If you get raised on the river, you're going to fold it.

You would be happy in knowing how rarely AA/KK/QQ/JJ/TT raises any river unimproved and how often an utterly confused AQ/AJ will call. And the few times that you induce AK to fold are sweet, like getting some retard looking for a stake to PM Johnny Boom Boom.

EDIT: Also, once Tosh calls the turn I'm guessing he's calling any non-flush completing Queen.

EDIT EDIT: Unless he has the A of that suit, which he didn't say but could have still let us know BY USING THE DAMN CONVERTER.

How on earth would thi be a beter play then check/calling on the river a/ A high? the fact that sometimes for the same price you have no showdown?
