Default Limp re-raising with suited connectors: smart play or out of my mind?

It seemed like I was viewed as pretty tight at this table. I actually thought about raising the 1st time but let it go, but after it was raised and everyone stayed in I pretty much knew everyone was tied to the pot if Button re-raised me. Thoughts on this?? Should I have raised the first go-round??
