Crack ho swings in 10/20
Just moved to 10/20 and it is one heck of a roller coaster ride. I am just one or two tabling. But it was still easy to drop 125 BB in a couple hours. Fortunately, a couple hours later I end the session with only a 10 bb net loss. Normally it hasn't been that bad, but it sure seems much worse than 5/10.
so far my SD is 17.4bb/100 which is only 1 bb/100 higher than my 5/10 but it sure seems like this school is much swingier. People seem to be much more agressive and will hang around with any little piece of the flop (especially when I am the preflop raiser and don't hit) and even stick around more with gutshot draws. Re: Crack ho swings in 10/20
My SD is about the same, so I think much of the "swings" that people are talking about is because at 10/20 u lose more $, not more BB. I agree that there are more LAGs but they are normally not very good so even if u lose some big pots u will win some big ones 2.
Losing 125BB in a few hours doesnt happen very often. I have played +50K hands and I still havent lost more then 125BB in a day (won 175). Of course it can happen - and it can happen at 5/10 and 1/2 - but not like every day. |

Re: Crack ho swings in 10/20
thats why I was concerned. In 70K hands of 5/10 I had (1) 200 bb slide early on and i think (3-4) 100 bb slides but it has been a while since those.
It is true that the $ looks so much larger once you get above $1000. I think my wife would cry (after she whacked me with a club) if she found out I lost $2500 in the course of a couple of hours. Hell, I think I would cry if I didn't think of it as 125 bb, that were lost pretty much the same way I would have played them on 5/10 where I am a shade over +2 bb/100 |

Re: Crack ho swings in 10/20
OK is this getting ridiculous or what.
Yesterday down 84 BB over 710 hands Today up 75 BB over 460 hands Is this what I should expect? The weird thing is my SD is down to 16.8 BB/100 getting closer to my norm for 5/10. |
